Born out of love, loss and the desire to create meaning — standing for children who had no one standing for them.
Apne Sapne Foundation was born out of love, loss, and the desire to create meaning. The organisation traces its roots to the passing of our beloved friend, Late Shri Amit Dixit (Bittu). His absence left a void that we, as his friends and well-wishers, chose to fill with purpose.
Rather than let grief remain private, we channelled it into a mission that would carry his memory forward in a way that truly mattered: by standing for children who had no one standing for them.
In his memory, we came together to build Apne Sapne Foundation — a registered NGO based in Bajaj Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan. What began as an informal tribute among friends has grown into a structured commitment to education and community welfare.
Guided by the belief that every child deserves the chance to dream and to learn, regardless of where they are born, we continue our work with Bittu as our inspiration — always asking what he would have done, and striving to act with the same compassion and courage.
Dreams are not a privilege — they are a right. Our mission is to ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and imagine a brighter future.
What began as a tribute among friends has grown, step by step, into a functioning institution dedicated to children's education and welfare.
It started as an idea among a close circle of friends, who wished to honour the memory of Late Shri Amit Dixit (Bittu) through lasting, meaningful work rather than a one-time gesture.
That idea took shape as Apne Sapne Foundation, formally registered as an NGO (Reg. No. COOP/2026/JAIPUR/502198) based in Bajaj Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Our very first initiative was a blood donation camp, organised on Bittu's first death anniversary. The programme was so successful beyond expectations that we resolved to hold it every February as a tribute to him.
We began our on-ground work in communities such as Jhalana Doongri and Kunda Basti, conducting field visits and outreach to understand the real educational needs of children.
We built our first set of structured documentation and Right to Education processes, then expanded into counselling, student progress tracking, and educator training programmes.
Today, we are working on another site in Jaipur to extend our programmes and reach a wider base of children. Every milestone carries forward the spirit in which the Foundation began.

Every blood donation camp held every February, every child that learns to dream, every community we serve — is a tribute to Bittu and the compassion he brought to every life he touched.
